The 2008 Bailey Senator Virginia is a particularly appealing 4 berth tourer for buyers wanting the convenience of a proper island bed without having to move up to a twin-axle caravan.

The Virginia was part of Bailey’s flagship Senator range, and it still feels like a well-equipped caravan for its age. Up front, the parallel lounge seating creates a comfortable and sociable living area with plenty of room to relax or dine, while at night it converts into an additional double bed.

The kitchen sits centrally and provides everything needed for touring, including a full oven and grill, hob, microwave and fridge, together with useful worktop and storage space.

The main attraction is the rear bedroom. Unlike a conventional French-bed layout, the Virginia has a fixed island double with access from both sides, making it much easier to get in and out of bed without disturbing your partner. Wardrobe and storage space around the bedroom give it a genuine separate-bedroom feel.

Between the lounge and bedroom is the washroom area, including toilet, wash basin and separate shower facilities. Heating and hot water are provided by the Truma system, while ATC, alloy wheels and the strong Senator specification add to its appeal.
