Description
The Sterling Elite 580 is a superb premium touring caravan combining a luxurious transverse island bed layout with an exceptional level of specification. Designed as Sterling’s contemporary alternative to the Swift Conqueror, the Elite offers a distinctive modern interior while retaining all the comfort and equipment you’d expect from one of Swift Group’s flagship ranges.
At the front is a spacious parallel lounge with plenty of room to relax, dine or entertain. Large windows and the panoramic front sunroof flood the interior with natural light, while at night the lounge converts into an additional double bed, giving the Elite 580 genuine four-berth flexibility.
The centrally positioned kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with a dual-fuel hob, separate oven and grill, microwave and a tall 134-litre fridge/freezer. There’s also plenty of practical storage and preparation space for everything from weekends away to extended touring holidays.
Moving towards the rear is one of the biggest attractions of this layout – the transverse island double bed. Accessible from either side and fitted with a Duvalay mattress from new, it provides the convenience of a permanent bedroom without having to climb over your partner during the night. The bed can also be retracted during the day to create additional floor space around it.
Behind the bedroom is a large full-width rear washroom with a separate shower cubicle, cassette toilet, wash basin and ALDE heated towel radiator. The separation between the lounge, bedroom and washroom gives the caravan a real three-room feel and makes it particularly comfortable for longer holidays.
Specification is where the Elite really stands out. This model features ALDE wet central heating, Swift Command, an 80W roof-mounted solar panel, AL-KO ATC, Tracker Retrieve, alloy wheels, external BBQ point and a host of other premium equipment.
The 2016 Elite also benefits from Swift’s SMART HT construction system, which uses a timberless structural framework including the floor and was introduced to the Elite range for this model year.
Overall, the Sterling Elite 580 is an excellent choice for couples wanting a genuinely luxurious touring caravan. The transverse island bed, large rear washroom, ALDE heating and excellent specification make it particularly well suited to longer holidays and year-round touring.

Warranty
All qualifying caravans are supplied with a 6-month warranty for added reassurance. Before collection, each caravan undergoes a full PDI inspection and service, followed by an engineer-led handover so you understand how everything operates.
What the warranty is intended to cover:
The warranty is there to help with faults affecting the caravan's main fitted equipment or systems that were not reasonably apparent at handover, subject to inspection and approval.
This can include issues with items such as:
· Heating and hot-water systems
· Fridge, cooker, hob and oven
· Electrical and charging systems
· Water pumps, taps and plumbing fittings
· Toilet and washroom equipment
· Damp, water ingress or sealant deterioration
· Other original fitted appliances or equipment
What is not covered:
The warranty is not designed to cover general wear, cosmetic deterioration, accidental damage, misuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, or faults caused by unauthorised repairs or modifications.
Typical exclusions include:
· Tyres, batteries, bulbs, fuses and consumable items
· Upholstery, soft furnishings, carpets and cosmetic marks
· Damage caused by accidents, impact, frost, storm damage, vermin or poor storage
· Faults caused by incorrect use, lack of routine maintenance or failure to follow manufacturer guidance
· Problems arising after third-party repairs, alterations or accessories have been fitted without approval
· Recovery, transport, site fees, accommodation costs or consequential losses
Customer Responsibilities
Please use the caravan correctly, keep it maintained, protect it from frost and water ingress, and arrange servicing as required. Any developing issue should be reported promptly to help avoid further damage.
