Description
The 2016 Swift Challenger 580 is a superb touring caravan offering one of the most desirable layouts on the used market – a transverse island bed combined with a spacious full-width rear washroom.
At the front is a bright and comfortable lounge with parallel seating, providing plenty of room to relax, dine or entertain during the day. At night, the lounge converts into an additional double bed, giving the Challenger genuine four-berth flexibility.
The panoramic front sunroof and large windows allow plenty of natural light into the caravan and give this generation of Challenger a much more modern, open feeling than many traditional tourers.
The centrally positioned kitchen is well equipped with a dual-fuel hob, separate oven and grill, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment, along with plenty of useful storage and preparation space.
Moving towards the rear is the standout feature of this layout – the transverse island double bed. Accessible from both sides, it gives you the convenience of a permanent bedroom without having to climb over your partner during the night. There’s also excellent storage beneath and around the bed.
Behind the bedroom is a large full-width rear washroom with a separate shower cubicle, cassette toilet, wash basin and useful dressing space. This separation between the lounge, bedroom and washroom gives the Challenger 580 a genuine three-room feel and makes it particularly comfortable for longer holidays.
The Challenger also comes with an excellent level of specification, including Swift’s SMART construction, an 80W roof-mounted solar panel, Truma heating and hot water, panoramic sunroof, alloy wheels and plenty of other equipment designed to make touring comfortable and straightforward.
At 7.54 metres overall and remaining on a single axle, the 580 manages to provide a proper permanent bedroom and large rear bathroom without requiring the move to a twin-axle caravan.
Overall, the Swift Challenger 580 is an excellent couples’ caravan with the flexibility to accommodate guests when required. The transverse island bed, spacious rear washroom and high level of specification make this a particularly desirable layout for everything from weekends away to extended touring holidays.

Warranty
All qualifying caravans are supplied with a 6-month warranty for added reassurance. Before collection, each caravan undergoes a full PDI inspection and service, followed by an engineer-led handover so you understand how everything operates.
What the warranty is intended to cover:
The warranty is there to help with faults affecting the caravan's main fitted equipment or systems that were not reasonably apparent at handover, subject to inspection and approval.
This can include issues with items such as:
· Heating and hot-water systems
· Fridge, cooker, hob and oven
· Electrical and charging systems
· Water pumps, taps and plumbing fittings
· Toilet and washroom equipment
· Damp, water ingress or sealant deterioration
· Other original fitted appliances or equipment
What is not covered:
The warranty is not designed to cover general wear, cosmetic deterioration, accidental damage, misuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, or faults caused by unauthorised repairs or modifications.
Typical exclusions include:
· Tyres, batteries, bulbs, fuses and consumable items
· Upholstery, soft furnishings, carpets and cosmetic marks
· Damage caused by accidents, impact, frost, storm damage, vermin or poor storage
· Faults caused by incorrect use, lack of routine maintenance or failure to follow manufacturer guidance
· Problems arising after third-party repairs, alterations or accessories have been fitted without approval
· Recovery, transport, site fees, accommodation costs or consequential losses
Customer Responsibilities
Please use the caravan correctly, keep it maintained, protect it from frost and water ingress, and arrange servicing as required. Any developing issue should be reported promptly to help avoid further damage.
